Supporting Older Adults/Seniors, Caregivers and Mid-Life Adults in Massachusetts
Life’s transitions can be challenging, especially later in life or when you are caring for someone you love. Sometimes change is chosen in hopes of greater balance or meaning, and other times it arrives unexpectedly, bringing stress, grief, or uncertainty.
Whatever the circumstance, you don’t have to face it alone.
As an older adult or senior, you may face unique challenges such as isolation, health concerns, changes in memory or thinking, grief and loss, shifting independence, or questions of meaning and identity. This stage of life can bring both wisdom and vulnerability. I provide a respectful, supportive environment where you can feel heard, valued, and empowered as you navigate later-life transitions with dignity and care.
Caring for an aging parent, spouse, partner, or loved one can be deeply meaningful—and also emotionally and physically exhausting. Many caregivers experience chronic stress, burnout, grief, role changes, and feelings of isolation. Therapy offers a space just for you to process complex emotions, set healthy boundaries, cope with anticipatory grief or loss, manage anxiety or depression, and reconnect with your own needs while continuing to care for others.
Midlife often brings competing demands—career pressures, relationships, parenting, and frequently the added responsibility of elder care. Balancing these roles can feel overwhelming, leaving little time for your own well-being. You may feel stretched thin, unsure of your identity, or quietly putting yourself last. Therapy can help you regain balance, clarify priorities, and find support during this pivotal stage.
My approach is warm, patient, and grounded in a deep understanding of adult development and aging. Whether you are an older adult, a caregiver, or navigating midlife transitions, therapy can help you feel less alone, more centered and better supported during times of change.
Therapy can help with complex issues related to advanced and middle age, including grief, identity shifts, and chronic stress.
With more than 25 years of experience in healthcare—primarily in skilled nursing facilities and hospitals as a social worker—I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through the complex challenges that accompany changes in health, roles, and independence.
I began my career as an Occupational Therapist, which gives me a deep understanding of how medical and mental health concerns influence daily functioning, identity, and quality of life. That foundation continues to shape my approach to therapy—one that integrates both emotional and practical support to foster meaningful change.
As a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), I help clients strengthen the connection between mind and body, cultivating greater balance, resilience, and overall well-being.
My work draws from several approaches, including Health and Wellbeing Coaching, Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Strength-Based approaches. Together, we’ll find what fits best for — so you can move forward with renewed purpose and peace of mind.
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to learn more about your current struggles and to highlight my approach. After this consultation, we can decide together if scheduling an initial appointment should be our next step.
